Dan's 31 & Sydney's 19 months!

At her checkup on Friday, our little monkey weighed in at all of 22 lbs.!  Finally in the 20th percentile for weight!  She is definitely getting taller though, and of course is as smart as ever.  She is comprehending so many things, and we are amazed at what she learns every single day!

28 Weeks & Ultrasound #7 - January 22, 2010

Somehow I don't feel quite as big as this photo makes me look.....maybe it's deceiving, I hope. Everything is progressing smoothly, and apparently this body of mine is "made for this!" See below for a couple creepy 3D photos of A&B.

Ultrasound #6 - January 8, 2010

Another month, another ultrasound! Both babes are growing along at 26 weeks and approximately 2 pounds each....oh, and developing nicely! Apparently, they are quite photogenic, according to the doctor and sonographer, but Little Girl A was playing shy and wouldn't give us any peeks at her face. Here is one 3D shot of Little Boy B Vandenberg:

25.5 Weeks

Here it is - me and the babes at 25.5 weeks pregnant. Or should I say 102 more days, according to my 40-week due date? I was checking out this website about twins today and getting very nervous about the photos women had posted of their 38-week bumps (supposedly 38 weeks is full term for twins). Yikes! Yes, of course I hope the babes cook for (almost) 38 weeks, but I am terrified of stretch marks!

The second photo is of Sydney attempting a sideways hug and kiss for the babies. She loves to lift my shirt up and give them kisses from time to time - it is super cute, of course! She will be a great big sister!

Miss Independent

At 18 months, Sydney is full of independence lately and she's not afraid to show it! The word "NO" has become a frequent part of her vocabulary, and when we tell her not to say "no," she switches to "MINE!" another no-no in our house. A couple of her favorite activities/phrases include "hold[ing] it" and "I too." Here she is holding her cousin Leah (age 3.5 months), helping Grandpa make chicken sandwiches, and assisting Daddy with pancake-making. Sydney also loves to hold her babysitter's son, Liam (age 2.5 months), play Play-doh, color, play blocks, hide in her fort, play 'Tato-head, play with her friend Jori twice a week, and (of course) watch Dora.

Christmas 2009 in Florida

This year we decided to spend Christmastime in Orlando, Florida with (most of) my immediate family. We had a wonderful time just being together, and despite some cool weather we found time to shop at Disney Marketplace, spend a couple days at Sea World, make a day trip to Daytona Beach, and hit to swimming pool and shuffleboard at the resort. We are so thankful for our family and the joy they bring us!
