We decided (along with the rest of Grand Rapids and several schools, apparently) to take another quick trip to Meijer Gardens to see the butterflies before they're gone for the season. The butterflies weren't as big a hit as earlier this season, but the outdoor scenery and activities seemed to do the trick!
Sydney has been introduced to all new types of fun lately in an attempt to keep her busy and entertained. Sidewalk chalk, painting canvases for the babies' bedroom, and a Lite Brite game from my ancient past have all been big hits!
My mom, Sydney, the twins and I took advantage of the 74-degree forecast on Thursday this week and took a morning trip to John Ball Zoo. Many of the exhibits were not open yet for the season, but Sydney enjoyed her first real trip to the zoo nonetheless. I realize that many of my posts fail to include much commentary, but I am a busy mom and I think the photos tell the stories just fine!
Asher & Geneva had their two-week doctor appointment this week and are already each a pound over their birth weight (something pediatricians aim for by one month of age)!
Asher: 7 lbs. 7 oz., 20 3/4 inches long
Geneva: 7 lbs. 4 oz., 21 inches long
Happy and thriving!
Asher & Geneva had their one week doctor appointment yesterday and are already weighing 6 lbs 9 oz and 6 lbs 8 oz, respectively. They are changing already -- here's a peek:
This year we spent a relaxing Easter Sunday at home with the kids and my mom. The Easter egg hunt that we originally thought we might have to have in the hospital room turned into a nice little treat in the front yard for Sydney. After a little help with the first couple eggs, she got the hang of it and kept saying "More? More?"
Our children keep us busy but they also keep us entertained! We are thankful every day for everything God has bestowed upon us, and we blog so that we can share it all with you!
