Once again, Sydney was a perfect traveler on our trip to California in August. She slept through every airplane ride and layover, which was a relief to those sitting near us! We had a great time hanging out with all the family and hardly got to hold her ourselves!

1st Weekend Trip to Canada
Sydney took her first international trip to Canada this weekend to visit with Opa & Oma, Auntie Sarah, Great Grandpa Schweyer, and Nana & Grandpa. Mommy & Daddy even attended friends Nick & Emily's wedding on Saturday while Sydney was an angel for Nana & Grandpa. Being the content baby that she is, Sydney slept through all the long hours in the car - she is going to be a good traveler, which is a great sign, especially since we are flying to California this week as well!

6 Weeks Old...already!
So I guess pretty soon I am going to have to stop updating this thing so often, but for now Sydney is still growing and changing so quickly! She is tracking movement with her eyes and turning her head to the sound of our voices. Dan and I are constantly amazed by her perfection and by how God has blessed our lives by the addition of Sydney to our family.
On Sunday, August 3rd, we decided to take a "family day trip" to Rosy Mound Natural Area on Lake Michigan, just south of Grand Haven. After a short hike through the woods and over the sand dune, we relaxed on the beach for a while - me in the sun, and Dan and Sydney in the shade of the umbrella.
Finally, a photo with Mom! I am usually the one behind the camera...
Week 5
This week we had a few more out-of-town visitors, including Grand Uncle Phil, Great Grandma Bep, cousin Sam, and friends Eric and So Hang. Sydney continues to be more alert, sleeping less and waking more! Looking back at previous weeks' photos, she has already changed considerably. Time is really flying.
Big yawn!
